PERSONALITY
— COMPASSIONATE: Kate is well known in canon for her compassion to others. She is incredibly kind to others, to the point she even takes part in a 'Meals on Wheels' programme — showing she will actively participate in charity work. Max comments several times that she finds Kate sweet, kind and nice — noting that even with Kate's heavy religous background, she 'doesn't preach to me [Max]'.— FORGIVING: Her forgiving nature comes from her heavily religious upbringing, show Kate is quick to forgive others, even those who have actively harmed her. Victoria Chase is a prime example of this. Despite Victoria's ruthless bullying of Kate, where she even actively spreads Kate's video around, that culminates in Kate's suicide attempt — if saved, Kate will forgive Victoria, possibly discussing with Max about Victoria's insecurities, as she genuinely believes in forgiveness and redemption. However, she does believe that Nathan deserves to be punished for what he's done, but it is more out of a need to stop him from hurting others than for the sake of vengeance.
— ACADEMIC INTELLIGENCE: Kate is considered the 'very best of Blackwell' and is exemplary in both attendance, extra-curriculars and academic achievement. Max can view Kate's school record and notes that along with her service to the Meals on Wheels programme, Kate also runs an incredibly diverse inter-faith study group. She also boasts an impressive 3.9 GPA, the second highest to Warren's 4.0 on the files available for Max to peruse. Along with her academic talents, Kate is also talented in creative arts: she is a keen photographer, plays violin, and appears to want to become a children's book illustrator — with examples of all three being something Max heavily compliments.
— CONSERVATIVE: Kate was brought up in a religious Christian household. Her father is a preacher (either Lutheran or Anglican in denomination). She is incredibly committed to her faith, to the point she if even teased for it. She runs an Abstinance campaign at Blackwell, with posters being found around school. She is also anti-drinking and anti-drugs. She's quite rigid in her beliefs, even almost snapping at Max when she suggests Kate got drunk at the Vortex Party. Her conservativism in regards to her faith makes her even believe that her bullying and continued spread of the viral video is punishment.
— PASSIVE Max remarks that Kate is a shy student. As the victim of intense bullying, both before and after the release of her video, Kate is not known to be someone to stand up for herself or fight back her bullies. She is shown more likely to walk away from confrontations from her bullies, or simply silently sits by even when she hears remarks or is hit by projectiles in class rather than kicking up a fuss.
— ISOLATED: Kate is naturally introverted, even admitting to Max that that she doesn't enjoy being in the spotlight/the center of attention. But in turn, Kate is a relatively isolated character with that introversion. Her views/beliefs isolate her from her peers, where as recent events in canon have isolated her from her conservative, religious family. She is an unhappy, desolate soul — with a bleak outlet fuelled by her depression.
APPEARANCE
— VISUAL: A slim girl of around 5'6" in height. Pale skinned, which blushes when embarrassed or flustered. Her nose tends to turn red when she's crying. Kate tends to dressed fairly modestly, and in plain colours — usually black, grey and white. Soft blue eyes. Thick dirty blonde hair typically worn up in a bun. She occasionally wears it loose. She looks generally looks worn and exhausted, often teary.— AURAL: American accent, West Coast. Softly and politely spoken, generally quite subdued in terms of cadence, if a little cheerful when she's in better spirits.
— OLFACTORY: Clean, likely some kind of flowery standard shampoo/body wash used. Kate does her best to keep herself bathed in spite of the lack of running hot water.
— DEMEANOR: Meek, and shy. Generally quite timid. There's a general gentle politeness about her, and relatively reserved. Can often come across as depressive/listless.

STARTING SKILLS
— ACADEMIC Considered 'the best of Blackwell', Kate is a highly gifted student. She has earned a GPA of 3.9 whilst in school, studious and interested in more academic pursuits in related to situations.
— ANIMAL CARE Kate owned a pet rabbit back home, and while she is not particular experienced, it does mean she does have some knowledge in keeping rabbits / basic animal care.
— ARTISTIC Kate aspires to write and illustrate children's books and is a keen artist. Her style is quite playful and cartoonish, but her art is known to take more dark and macabre tones when her mental health is failing.
— MUSICAL Kate plays violin, and tries to practice it every day. She is particular fond of the works of Mozart.
— RELIGIOUS KNOWLEDGE Kate is a devout Christian, and while not canon-confirmed, is speculated to either be of a Lutheran or Anglican denomination. She is well-versed in her Bible, and continues to study it regularly.
SKILLS GAINED/LEARNING
— BASIC FIRST AID Kate has begun to learn some basic first aid from Harry Goodsir, and assists Methuselah durings the Feasts. She particularly tries to deal with minor cold injuries and treating those suffering from hypothermia.
— FORAGING Taking up a budding interest in foraging the natural world around them, Kate has been picking up knowledge in edible plant life within the Northern Territories. She is mostly self-taught, but has had guidance from Benton Fraser on occasion.
OBTAINED: JANUARY 2024 | The Aurora has connected you. You now have telepathic abilities, allowing you to speak to others mentally. They tend to be more empathetic compared to other Interlopers. During the Aurora, this ability can span the entire region meaning you can speak to your fellow Interlopers that are further away from others. While you may speak to anyone, they can only speak back if you each have this ability. At first, Interlopers may have trouble in directing their thoughts. They may often find themselves inadvertently broadcasting their thoughts to others. In addition, this ability comes with a price that can be detrimental to an Interloper's mental and emotional health. Sometimes it will seem as if you are calling into the void, with no one to hear you. The silence is crushing.
INTERLOPER'S SACRIFICE
OBTAINED: JULY 2024 | The Aurora gives, the Aurora takes — in you, it is now in a literal sense. The Interloper’s Sacrifice is the power of healing at your very fingertips. You can heal physical wounds and illnesses in others, at cost to your own health. You take on the injuries and afflictions, and while they won’t kill you — you’ll certainly suffer them and must heal from them yourself. Those with this Feat will be particularly sensitive to the suffering of those around them and will be compelled to help. Interlopers may end up pushing themselves to the brink of exhaustion and may pass out into unconsciousness for a time to heal from the wounds you have taken on. You may bring back someone from near death, but you give up your own life-span in exchange — and severely burn yourself out in the process, needing a great deal of time to recover. In theory, an Interloper could bring someone back from the dead — but will kill themselves in the process.
